I remember buttons: "Prox for Prez" buttons. And I remember thinking they were pretty cool.
And I remember being concerned about having to move to the White House, just like certain,
like, little things. I also remember -1 mean, I was aware enough to know that, like, there'd be a
lot of scrutiny, personal scrutiny, and I was a little concerned about that. But actually, I didn't
really know very much about it at the time. What little I know was told me to after the fact. I
guess I found out later. I certainly don't recall at the time. He actually went up to New
Hampshire to canvas the possibility, because at the time New Hampshire was, even before the
Iowa caucuses, that was the first event. And I guess he did some campaigning up there and
checked out the landscape. But I don't think he ever really - other than saying, "I think Senator's
the best job in the world," I never really remember him saying, "You know, these are the two
reasons I decided not to do it," or, "This is why I decided not to do it." He would just say,
"Senator's the greatest job in the world. Why would lever give that up?" So I think that was part
of the reason.
Now you weren't sent to boarding school. Is that correct?
