HOLD ON! What were you doing just then? Storing away that engine delivery picture in the bottom drawer of your desk ? Don't do it. Give it to us. We want to show it to the other 39,999 readers of the HARVESTER WoRLD. (You're the forty thousandth.) If there are objectionable features to it, or if we can't use the whole photo—just leave it to the art editor (he studied surgery). Cutting off and adding to is his hobby. Another thing — you worked out an idea for increasing spreader sales in your block. It was a great idea, practical, and made a hit with the boss. Quite a few of the other 39,999 readers would profit by that idea — let us give it to them. When you send that, just add a few news items about your agency. Things are certainly happening there that would interest us. And you, Mr. Dealer, send us a copy of that good photograph you had taken of your place of business. Let us hear about the demonstration, short course, new system of motor truck delivery, farmer's institute, etc. You know what a live town you're in — tell us about it. And don't forget about the photograph.

Description | Harvester World magazine was first published by International Harvester Company in October of 1909. From 1909 to 1946, Harvester World functioned primarily as an employee magazine, carrying news from various factories, branch houses and dealerships around the world. The magazine included biographical sketches of employees; notices of retirements and promotions; announcements regarding new company initiatives or building projects; and a variety of other news relating to nearly every facet of the company’s world wide operations. The magazine was published by the company’s Advertising Department, and also functioned as a way for headquarters to communicate with dealerships. In 1946, the magazine was redesigned and eventually shifted from an employee magazine to a more customer-oriented focus. By the 1950s, most Harvester Articles were human interest stories centering on the people and organizations who used International Harvester products. At the same time, photography became an increasingly important element in the content and presentation of the magazine. The magazine was discontinued in 1969. |
