Description
Regional map of south eastern America, based largely on D'Anville's map of North America in 1755. It shows the borders, regions, cities and towns, Native American lands, forts, mines, mountains, and an extensive account of the rivers during the French and Indian War. While the labeling of Virginia, the Carolinas, and Georgia suggest the colonies are confined to east of the Appalachian Mountains, their western borders are left open by both the engraver and colorist.
