This 1871 birds eye map of Monroe, Wisconsin, depicts street names and street locations, houses, and trees. A reference key at the bottom of the map shows the locations of Monroe's seminary, public school, court house, jail, Turner Hall, railroad depot, G. Leuenberger & Co's Brewery, Ruegger & Holtr Brewery, United States Hotel, Wisconsin House, public park, county building, and the city's specific denominational churches (Methodist, Baptist, Universalist, Congregational, Episcopal, German Catholic, Irish Catholic, German Evangelical, Advent and German Lutheran).
