Clear and Little Sand Lakes are also good sized bodies of water near the center. Besides there are several other small lakes and streams which go to make this a well watered township. Three good school houses are located Iq this township and May postoffice is on the eastern shore of Clam Lake. Several railroad lines have been sur¬ veyed to cross this township and the southwest corner is within six miles of the new town of Frederic on the •^'Soo Line." Like all other parts of the county this township is '^spotted" in the character of the soil. It contains some of the finest farming land in the county and some of the poorest, but •on the whole it ranks up among the very best and its central location is destined to make it a very Important town when the country Is fully de¬ veloped.
