Wednesday 11th
Got a note from Mr. Craig this morning saying that he was ill also his little boy who was very low with a fever. Rosa staid till noon.
Thursday 12th
Nothing of importance today. We got no telegrams of importance. Our Regiments here, the Seventh & Eighth are filling up and will probably leave next week.
Friday 13th
The Methodist Conference is in session here, went to the Church in the evening and heard the Rev. Mr. Tiliou(sp) of Janesville on the State of affairs in the County, his text, "Every soul must be obedient to the higher powers" &c., was well treated indeed. I think I never heard a better discourse on the subject.
Saturday 14th
Went up town this morning. We were all very much surprised by a visit from Cousin Augustus tonight. We were all very glad to see him I have not seen him since we were little children.
Sunday 15th
Went to church this morning. One of the Methodist ministers preached. Augustus came before Church but did not accompany us, went again in the afternoon, and after that Augustus went with us to walk, until tea time. Went to church at the M. E. Church in the evening, found
