April 2d
Rainy & disagreeable this morning, went to school. Went to church in the evening.
3d
Started for school at half past seven, Mr. Campbell accompanied me and went to my German recitation. Came home tonight very tired. Went to Covenant meeting.
4th
At home today. Sewed all the forenoon, went to the Union League in the afternoon. Afterwards went up town. At home in the evening. Mrs. Eaton & Fannie came to pay a farewell visit, they go to Chicago Monday. Mr. & Mrs. Carner(sp) were also here & Ella Fox and Professors Donaldson & Howell. We spent a very pleasant evening.
5th
Went to church this morning. It was a beautiful day very warm & pleasant. Did not go to the Third Ward. Celia & I took a walk in the afternoon. Went to church in the evening.
6th
A pleasant morning, went to school. Went to church in the evening.
7th
Went to the Lodge this evening. Saw James High for the first time since his return. Had quite a long session. Commenced studying my lessons, about eleven o'clock and did not go to bed until half past two.
