MEMOIRS OF WAUKESHA COUNTY HI equipped for this line, a shuttle car will be operated between Muskego and Phantom lake." "The Milwaukee Light, Heat and Traction company has certainly been rushing things the past week in constructing its railway tp East Troy, and in consequence half of the distance between here and Muk¬ wonago finds the ties and rails laid for the new road. A large force of men are employed and a huge locomotive hauls the material right to the spot where it is to be used. At present much work in grading is necessary where the railroad crosses the highway near what is kriown as the Hardy place on the East Troy-Mukwonago road, the intention being to elevate the highway sufficient to let the cars go un¬ derneath. This is also true of another place on what is known as the Lake corner, where a temporary bridge has been built for public traffic until such time as the new steel and concrete structure can be completed."
