This framed collage of wedding memorabilia includes a bridal veil, a wax flower headpiece, and a marriage portrait photograph of August and Emma Prestin.
History
The Peshtigo Fire Museum identifies the couple in the photograph as "Mr. and Mrs. August Prestin, Jr." The federal census for 1900 places Gus Prestin, age 35, and Emma Prestin, age 38, in the Town of Grover, Marinette County, Wisconsin. As the census lists their oldest child at age 12, the couple's marriage probably took place around 1888.
