Bird's eye view of Peshtigo, Wisconsin Sept. 1871 / published by T.H. Fowler & Co. Madison Wis.
T.M. Fowler & Co.
This 1871 view of Preshtigo created before the great fire takes advantage of the tragedy with the added line describing the destruction. This view references the factory boarding house which housed many of the unidentified dead, and the Catholic Church whose priest, Father Peter Pernin, wrote one of the most famous accounts of the catastrophe.
