View of the city of Two Rivers, Wis. 1879 / drawn & published by H. Wellge & J. Bach, Milwaukee ; lith. by Beck & Pauli.
Wellge, H. (Henry)
Two Rivers was a thriving lakeshore city when this view was made. The first white settlers had erected a sawmill and woodworking factories four decades earlier and this 1879 view clearly depicts these industries at the junction of the Mishicott and Neshoto rivers. It also shows sailing ships, railroads, public buildings and bridges.
