Joseph Gundry built this Italianate style building in 1871 for his expanding retail business. The man standing second from left may well be William P. Gundry, Joseph's son. The dog overlooking High Street has been a symbol of Mineral Point for over a century. This building is included in the Wisconsin Architecture and History Inventory under record number 59700.
